Happiest Minds was engaged to develop a test execution framework for a White Box Switch–based packet monitoring product that required rapid automation, integration with third‑party tools, and a significant reduction in regression test time. The challenge was to build a scalable, repeatable test environment that could validate SDN conformance, functionality and performance across virtual and physical components.

The team delivered a hybrid test environment combining Mininet-based virtual topologies and physical SDN switches, automated deployment via Vagrant, and integration with tools such as OpenDaylight, POSTMAN, IXIA, IPERF and OFTEST. A comprehensive test suite (conformance, functional and performance) simplified and sped up testing, was developed quickly and at low cost using open‑source components, and delivered measurable productivity gains through reduced regression cycles.
