Happiest Minds partnered with the largest online education provider to address a critical performance-testing challenge: native mobile applications using HTTPS were creating a certification exception that prevented standard traffic recording and load-testing. The goal was to evaluate tools and methods to reliably capture and measure app-to-backend performance without compromising security or test fidelity.

Happiest Minds selected BlazeMeter, deployed a proxy and configured mobile devices to use it (including installing the mitmproxy certificate), intercepted and recorded all HTTP/HTTPS traffic, and converted recordings into JMeter scripts using Smart JMX conversion. The approach enabled easy, repeatable performance tests for HTTPS native apps, produced .jmx/JSON-ready scripts, allowed script optimization, and delivered successful performance test runs with no certification exceptions.
