Large Scale Test Automation using Selenium for Higher Education Provider

Happiest Minds partnered with a higher education provider to build large-scale test automation for their web-based Learning Management System. The client required an enterprise-grade, maintainable automation suite to automate backlog and regression tests, support IE/Firefox/Chrome, integrate with Jenkins for CI, use open-source Selenium, follow four-week Agile sprints, and enforce code quality via Sonar with TestLink, Git/Stash and Redmine for test and code management.

We delivered a Selenium-based automation framework using the Page Object Model, utility handlers and reporting (JUnit/TestNG-XSLT), integrated with TestLink, Jenkins and Sonar, and managed in Git/Stash with Redmine for tracking. The implementation validated and updated 5,000 test cases, provided comprehensive regression coverage, accelerated time-to-market, caught defects earlier, and made it simple to add new test cases.
