InterGlobe Air Transport Ltd is a leading airline and travel management company headquartered in Gurugram with operations across 30+ cities and overseas offices. InterGlobe faced a manual travel and expense (T&E) process that relied on physical invoices sent by courier, leading to misplaced documents, long approval times, high storage and audit costs, and poor visibility. To modernize T&E, InterGlobe implemented Happay’s expense management platform, including the mobile app, OCR, ApprovNow, SmartAudit and an invoice repository.
Happay digitized expense capture and automated approval workflows, using OCR and SmartAudit to flag duplicates, out-of-policy items and invoice mismatches, and storing receipts centrally. As a result, reimbursements shortened from weeks to days, compliance improved to near 100%, courier and storage costs were eliminated, and InterGlobe avoided hiring extra finance resources—while gaining real-time reporting and spend visibility (e.g., consolidated reporting of ₹7.37 Cr total spend). Happay’s solution also increased transparency and employee satisfaction through faster, more reliable expense processing.
