South Pittsburg High School Uses Hanwha Cameras in AI-Based Weapons Detection System

South Pittsburg High School in Tennessee needed to improve campus safety and upgrade its existing video security system so it could support an AI-based weapons detection solution. Working with Hanwha Techwin America cameras and ZeroEyes, the school aimed to identify potential threats before they became violent and provide better protection for students and staff.

Hanwha Techwin America supplied 10 IP-based cameras, including PNM-9000VQ multi-sensor, QND-6082R dome, and QNO-8030R bullet models, to deliver the high-resolution video needed for ZeroEyes to accurately detect weapons across exterior, interior, and entry areas. The system was successfully validated during a multi-agency drill, with police impressed by the image clarity and detection performance, and school leaders reporting greater peace of mind along with better day-to-day monitoring of the campus.
