PSET, a holding company for 13 utilities in Northern Finland, needed a single solution to unify MDM and EDM processes while centralizing billing, customer care, and financial operations across multiple companies. With limited ICT resources and multiple legacy systems in place, the company needed a way to harmonize processes and data and support both retailers and DSOs. Hansen Technologies provided its GenerisCX data hub solution to meet this challenge.

Hansen Technologies implemented a multitenant meter and energy data management hub through GenerisCX, replacing nine CIS systems and consolidating operations into one shared platform. The solution enabled PSET to run reading validation and balance settlement as a service for seven companies, cutting personnel needs from 10 FTEs to 2 FTEs and delivering 80% savings in operating costs for those processes. Hansen Technologies also enabled PSET to expand into BPO services and create a scalable platform for future growth.
