Agder Energi, a major Norwegian energy producer and supplier, needed to prepare for a supplier-centric market model and comply with new market-neutrality requirements tied to Elhub. To do this, it planned to split its shared business processes and CIS IT systems between its DSO and retailer operations, while ensuring support for future combined billing and a smooth transition to separate customer and billing environments. Hansen Technologies, through its EnoroCX CIS platform, was selected to support the transformation.

Hansen Technologies implemented a new combined billing solution and migrated Agder Energi’s shared CIS data into two separate systems for the DSO and retailer, along with training and process support. The result was a highly automated billing environment that handles 160,000 network customers with just three people at Agder Energi Nett, improves data quality and market neutrality, and gives LOS greater flexibility for innovation and new product creation. The project was delivered on time, within budget, and to quality targets, leaving both businesses well prepared for future data-hub-based market changes.
