Daylight Company, a distributor of specialised lighting products that replicate natural daylight, was struggling with a rapidly growing customer database, slow reporting, and expensive, fragmented IT systems across multiple international offices. To address these issues, the company worked with HansaWorld to move to HansaWorld Enterprise, using a single instance of the software at its UK headquarters with Web-based access for other locations.

HansaWorld implemented Enterprise on an IBM pSeries Model 615 running Red Hat Linux, creating a centralized, scalable platform for Daylight’s global operations. The result was lower software licensing, support, and administration costs, improved real-time visibility into business trends, and stronger management information, while also providing the availability and capacity needed for future growth and Web order integration.
