Case Study: Sky drives sustainable broadcasting action with Hanover Communications

A Hanover Case Study

Preview of the Sky Case Study

Sky rallies 7 in 10 consumers to decarbonise with Hanover

The customer, Sky, a major European media and entertainment company, faced the challenge of rallying the wider broadcast industry to act more sustainably and align with net zero goals. As a principal partner for COP26, Sky needed to leverage this platform to drive change. The vendor, Hanover, supported this objective by helping to base their call to action on new research.

Hanover's solution involved commissioning a large-scale consumer study to provide evidence for Sky's narrative at COP26. This research formed the basis for a high-profile panel event at the conference and secured significant media coverage. The impactful results included Sky opening a sustainable studio, launching a carbon neutral TV, and, most notably, uniting 12 UK broadcasters to sign The Climate Content Pledge, ensuring climate issues remain on the agenda across all content.
