Merck drives 294 million impressions on diabetes campaign with Hanover

The customer Merck, a global leader in diabetes, challenged vendor Hanover to create an international, multi-channel consumer campaign for World Diabetes Day. The goal was to encourage people to test for prediabetes and better understand their risk factors for type 2 diabetes, ultimately strengthening Merck's position as a leader in this space.

Hanover designed and launched the "Home Truths" campaign using a hub-and-spoke model. This involved conducting a global YouGov survey and developing a suite of materials to drive uptake of Merck’s online prediabetes test. The campaign generated over 294 million impressions and 700-plus pieces of coverage. It broke a Guinness World Record in LATAM for the most prediabetes tests completed and led to the identification of over 18,000 high or moderate-risk individuals who were referred to a healthcare professional.
