University of New Brunswick - Customer Case Study

The University of New Brunswick (founded 1785) is Canada’s oldest English-language university, with two campuses and more than 70 programs. After years of organic growth left its website bloated, inconsistent and difficult to maintain, UNB’s web team needed a streamlined content-management process to simplify publishing and improve navigation and branding across many sites.

UNB implemented Hannon Hill’s Cascade CMS beginning in December 2008 and upgraded to Cascade 6.4 with the WordPress Connector in 2010, enabling content authoring in Cascade and publishing to WordPress. The team launched Perspectives Magazine by adapting an open-source WordPress template in under a week, and now manages 105 sites in Cascade while powering multiple departmental blogs—deploying new publications in hours and restoring the university’s leadership in online communication.
