A Hannon Hill Case Study
The University of Montana, a state university founded in 1893, struggled with a fragmented and inefficient web management process: content authors used varied tools (like Adobe Contribute), departments adopted homegrown or open-source solutions, and inconsistent template use created branding, licensing, training, and support burdens that tied up IT resources.
UM IT selected Hannon Hill’s Cascade CMS for its code-agnostic approach, multi-server publishing, and granular administration. Today six departments use Cascade to manage 163 sites on seven production servers, reducing IT support time, distributing permissions to site managers, enabling versioning and automated asset handling, improving content reuse with index blocks/Velocity, and restoring consistent branding and easier publishing from any machine.
