Colorado State University used Handshake for a virtual career fair and wanted a practical way to keep employer attendance high. Sara Istre, Event & Program Coordinator at Colorado State University, shared a tip for staffing the fair and making sure employers showed up for their sessions.

On the day of the fair, the team used Handshake’s Session Details page and the “In Progress” and “No Show Host” filters, then refreshed the page when sessions were 2 minutes in to see which students were waiting on a host. They sent quick emails to no-show hosts, and within a few hours they had 100% employer attendance.
