Kennesaw State University used Handshake to staff virtual fairs in fall 2020 and needed a better way to organize support for students and employers. Employer Relations & Events Manager Sheri Blight shared recommendations for helping participants prepare for a virtual fair experience.

The university added a student practice fair, sent direct email communication to employers, and included employer attendees on the Zoom/help room calendar invite. Handshake also supported the team with technical guides, breakout rooms, and session monitoring roles for technical questions and no-shows, which helped increase attendance in the employer help room and improve day-of support.
