The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) career center wanted to grow student engagement on social media and move beyond posting flyers, which had not gained much traction. Working with Handshake, the team looked for ways to build a stronger online presence and connect with students in a more personal way.
TCNJ used Handshake’s Marketing Toolkit, along with student success stories, Instagram Stories, videos, and polls to create more relevant content and save time on posting. Over two years, the career center’s Instagram following grew from 140 to 980 and counting, a 600% increase, with Handshake supporting the content and engagement strategy.
