Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Center for Career and Professional Development used Handshake to help reduce no-shows for its virtual career fair. The team wanted students to test their technology in advance and be more likely to attend their scheduled sessions.

RPI created a pre-fair student survey through Handshake that required students to agree to certain terms before registering. The approach helped the institute achieve a 99% check-in rate for 1:1s, a 13% increase over past fairs, and 3,800 total student-employer connections.
