Foothill College Expands Student Access to Jobs and Employers

Foothill College, a public community college in Los Altos Hills, California, needed a better way to connect students with employers and job opportunities. Its existing platform had low student and employer engagement, limited reach beyond the local region, and did not fully support online and mobile-only students. Foothill College turned to Handshake to expand access and improve visibility in the job market.

With Handshake, Foothill College saw a 5-10x increase in job postings and greater outreach from employers, including companies that had not recruited on campus before. Handshake also gave students access to a more user-friendly platform, virtual career fairs, advising appointments, events, chats, and interviews, helping the college better serve thousands of students and broaden employer access.
