Denison University drives student activation

Denison University used Handshake to increase student activation and engagement. The career center wanted more students to log in and use Handshake for career-related resources, events, appointments, and job searches rather than seeing it only as a job board.

To drive adoption, Denison worked with the First-Year Office, orientation leaders, faculty, and academic departments to introduce Handshake early and keep linking students back to it. The team also used yearly engagement reports for each academic major and positioned Handshake as the virtual career center; as a result, close to 80% of Denison students use Handshake.
