One Platform, Overhauled Visibility Shamrock Civil's Supercharged HSEQ

Shamrock Civil, a Tier 3 national civil contractor operating across high-risk projects in Australia, needed a better way to manage safety after legacy tools like paper pre-starts, emailed permits, and Excel registers proved slow, inconsistent, and hard to audit. Previous digitisation efforts also failed because they lacked site-team input and didn’t work well in real-world field conditions. Shamrock turned to HammerTech to support a more practical, field-ready HSEQ approach.

HammerTech was rolled out in early 2024 across Shamrock Civil’s projects with hands-on training and a staggered deployment focused on new sites first. The result was faster onboarding, live tracking of labour-hours, incidents, and inspections, streamlined workflows, and real-time reporting through Power BI dashboards. By December 2024, Shamrock had 26 active projects, more than 3,000 registered personnel, and over 28,000 labour-hours logged in a single month, with improved visibility, stronger buy-in from site teams, and a foundation for broader digital transformation.
