HammerTech Lite in Action at DAVIS Construction

DAVIS Construction, a national leader in safety and community-focused building, needed to pivot its on-site safety orientations when COVID-19 made 25-minute, in-person group sessions impractical and superintendents were spending hours each day re-running orientations. To standardize EHS communication and reduce lost time, DAVIS partnered with HammerTech and deployed HammerTech Lite in a pilot across five projects.

HammerTech Lite delivered browser- and mobile-compatible orientation videos, digital sign-ins, embedded quizzes (with superintendent notifications on repeated failures) and options like disabling fast-forward to improve compliance. The pilot saved “hours upon valuable hours” for superintendents, subcontractors and employees, led DAVIS to roll HammerTech out on all new projects beginning January 2021, and set the stage for planned Procore integration and additional feature enhancements from HammerTech.
