Flexem Construction, led in safety and compliance by Systems and Compliance Manager Ken Carter, was overwhelmed by daily paperwork and slow manual processes for inductions, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and equipment checks. To streamline compliance and reduce the time Ken spent chasing documents, Flexem adopted the HammerTech platform for personnel inductions, SWMS, equipment inductions and site registers.

HammerTech digitised Flexem’s inductions, permits and document storage so subcontractors upload insurances and SWMS before arriving onsite, preventing work from starting until records are complete. The cloud system eliminated site bundles of up to 350 pages, cut general inductions from 30–40 minutes to a brief onsite check (with general inductions valid for 12 months and transferable between projects), sped project setup from months to weeks, improved auditability and gave Ken real-time oversight of subcontractor performance.
