Mathematic Accelerates Productions, Reduces Costs and Goes Green with Hammerspace

Mathematic, a Paris-based VFX, animation, and motion design studio with more than 350 artists across Paris, Montréal, Los Angeles, and Montpellier, needed a way to support real-time collaboration across decentralized teams. As project volumes grew, shipping files on hard drives between sites became unsustainable, and cloud or point solutions were too disruptive for existing workflows and storage.

Hammerspace enabled Mathematic to connect all locations through a multi-site global namespace, using its existing storage with standard NFS/SMB access and no custom clients. By eliminating manual file transfers and keeping data immediately available across offices, Hammerspace sped up production, improved workflow flexibility, and helped Mathematic take on more projects while staying focused on VFX creation rather than IT complexity.
