Bayer Crop Science countersigns 36 MTAs in a week with Halo

Bayer Crop Science, a major agriculture company, faced a highly manual and slow process for signing Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), which took 3-6 months each. This made it impractical to manage the dozens of concurrent agreements needed for their new Testing4Ag program, where they solicited chemical compounds from external researchers. To manage this scale, they turned to their vendor, Halo, for a solution.

Halo implemented an automated MTA integration using DocuSign within its proposal platform. This solution dramatically reduced administrative work and increased throughput. As a result, Bayer went from signing MTAs in months to days, countersigning 36 agreements from 15 different countries in just one week. Overall, Halo enabled Bayer to receive over 2,500 molecules from 94 institutions for the Testing4Ag program.
