Yankee Candle, the iconic candle brand with a large retail and global footprint, needed to re-engineer its Service Award program as the company grew. The existing program struggled to keep pace with expansion, and while the milestones were meaningful, many of the merchandise gifts lacked excitement and some award pieces were handled inconsistently. HALO Recognition was brought in to help modernize the recognition experience using its web-based recognition and service award tools.
HALO Recognition redesigned the program to support on-site anniversary presentations, added a manager “tool kit,” refreshed the iconic award pieces, and revamped the gift catalog with more choice and Yankee Candle-branded items tied to company history. The result was a more engaging and consistent program with participation rates over 90% at corporate and over 82% across retail locations, plus 95% hands-free automation for the benefits team and a centralized platform ready for future global expansion.
