Case Study: Major Healthcare Network boosts retention and patient satisfaction with HALO Recognition

A HALO Recognition Case Study

Preview of the Major Healthcare Network Case Study

Raising Retention and Satisfaction in Healthcare with Employee Recognition

Major Healthcare Network partnered with HALO Recognition to address low patient satisfaction and higher-than-average turnover, especially among managers with 12 months of tenure or less. The organization wanted an enterprise-level, achievement-based recognition program to strengthen recruitment and retention and build a stronger culture of recognition across its healthcare locations.

HALO Recognition implemented a consolidated rewards and recognition program with points-based awards, peer nominations, manager-issued recognition tied to core values, and special incentives for patient satisfaction, manager engagement, and employee referrals. Results included a rise in website login rates from 72% to 85%, referral awards increasing from 600 in 2015 to over 2,900 in 2018, manager turnover dropping from 16.18% to 7.69%, and patient satisfaction tripling from 2013 to 2018, with facilities scoring 90% or better increasing from 9 to 32.
