By 2015, the event had grown to 36,643 participants and 1,220 teams, creating complex needs for team creation, flexible payment options, sponsor branding, and better visibility into team data. haku was brought in with its full-service registration and team management platform to address these challenges.

haku implemented a system that let captains self-manage teams, approve members, handle payments by check or credit card, purchase products, and communicate with participants, while staff gained full visibility into teams, invoices, balances, and payment status. The result was a major reduction in manual work and resource demands, with the first year on haku supporting over 1,300 teams and 37,000 participants. TeamFootWorks said haku saved considerable time and resources and helped deliver the best participant experience in 30 years.
