A Haivision Case Study
Sugar Creek Baptist Church, a Sugar Land, Texas congregation serving over 5,000 weekly attendees, needed to replicate its main-campus worship experience at a satellite location 15 miles away. The church required two perfectly synchronized HD feeds (one stationary sermon camera and one media feed) that could be delivered live and time-shifted (typically about a 30-minute delay). To meet this need they selected Haivision, using Haivision DVR alongside a KulaByte Internet Encoder and dual-channel conversion hardware.
Haivision implemented a workflow that combines a dual channel converter and KulaByte encoder to send a single stream to Haivision DVR in the cloud, where it is recorded and time-shifted; at the remote campus a DVR player and Multi-Display Adaptor split the stream back into two synchronized 720p channels for large-screen projection. The Haivision solution enabled flawless, on-demand HD delivery, simplified expansion to the 500-seat satellite campus, and provided flexible start times and perfect synchronization — preserving the worship experience across campuses and supporting Sugar Creek’s broader growth.
