NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers Connect Fans to the Game with Haivision’s IPTV Video System

The Pittsburgh Steelers upgraded the in-suite fan experience at Heinz Field to replace a dated touchscreen system and deliver live, on-demand and archived premium video to 129 luxury suites. To meet the challenge of handling multiple synchronized feeds with low latency and an intuitive interface, the team chose Haivision’s Furnace IP video system.

Haivision installed Furnace with six HD field cameras, six Makito H.264 encoders and 129 Stingray set‑top boxes to distribute encrypted live HD streams and on-demand content from a single control hub. The deployment delivered near‑zero latency live views, synchronized multi‑stream recording and replays available within minutes, serving all 129 suites with minimal technical management and noticeably improved fan engagement.
