The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA San Diego Healthcare System) needed a reliable way to deliver timely, professional, and policy‑compliant messages to staff and patients across its large medical center and six community clinics. To enable customizable channels by location and even by individual monitors while centralizing control, the VA chose Haivision’s CoolSign digital signage solution.

Haivision implemented CoolSign (with CoolSign Display Engine and Furnace IPTV) to provide a single content management and scheduling system managed by one administrator, while allowing broad content submission across the organization. The deployment increased awareness of services, displayed wait times and event information to improve client satisfaction, and helped the San Diego facility earn external recognition—contributing to its four‑star rating and receiving an award for the initiative.
