BT Sport keeps the ball moving with IPTV

BT Sport, a leading UK sports broadcaster, needed a way to monitor competitor and internal broadcast streams more efficiently so its teams could place ads faster and share creative programming ideas without sacrificing quality or adding latency. They selected Haivision’s IPTV solution — deploying the Furnace system and Haivision’s InStream player — to deliver multiple live channels across the facility with low latency and high quality.

Haivision implemented Furnace IPTV with AES‑encrypted multicast distribution to desktop players and set‑top boxes and an InStream multi‑view that can display up to 64 channels on a desktop. The deployment gives BT Sport unlimited multicast channels, faster programming and ad‑placement decisions, and real‑time competitive monitoring that improves responsiveness and the viewer experience.
