Haivision 5G ultra-low latency cellular video technology powers a key T-Mobile All-Team event

T-Mobile needed to broadcast a live portion of an all-team meeting from a remote location back to its Overland Park, Kansas campus in real time. Fiber was not available, and a satellite truck would have been too costly, so the company looked for a way to use 5G cellular networks for a live demo of its T-Satellite with Starlink service.

Haivision provided live video contribution using Haivision Pro mobile video transmitters and a StreamHub receiver. The setup sent ultra-low latency video over T-Mobile’s 5G network and a dedicated 5G slice, allowing the team to produce the demo live and in real time with lower costs and more flexibility. T-Mobile said the solution made it possible to deliver a broadcast like never before and to produce future broadcast-quality events practically anywhere.
