$20B Pharmaceutical Company Improves Internal Communications with Digital Signage and IPTV

Catamaran, a $20B pharmacy benefits manager (NASDAQ: CTRX) with more than 5,000 employees, needed a corporate broadcast IPTV and digital signage network for its new Chicago headquarters to support rapid growth and improve internal communications. AV integrator AVI‑SPL selected Haivision and its video distribution and digital signage products — including Makito encoders, the Furnace IPTV system and CoolSign with CoolSign Display Engine — to meet that need.

Haivision’s solution captures 12 TV channels and live sources with Makito encoders, streams them via Furnace and integrates corporate messaging through CoolSign to more than 100 (≈110) displays and set‑top boxes across the facility. Using secure live multicast and centralized CoolSign management, Haivision delivered stable, high‑quality live and on‑demand video plus signage without straining the network, enabling consistent corporate messaging in lobbies, conference rooms and offices and easier management of over 100 screens.
