SAIC GM Wuling - Customer Case Study

SAIC GM Wuling (SGMW), a major vehicle manufacturer in China, faced significant challenges in its automotive parts warehouse. The manual "person to goods" operation led to inefficiencies in stocking and picking, insufficient space utilization, and an inability to scale with business expansion. To overcome these pain points, SGMW and its logistics partner Anji CEVA enlisted Hai Robotics to help digitally transform the facility.

Hai Robotics implemented a solution utilizing 15 Compact Twin Fork ACRs (Autonomous Case-handling Mobile Robots) and several HaiStations to create a goods-to-person system. The solution increased storage capacity to 10,752 locations within a 1,100m² area by utilizing full vertical storage space up to 5.5 meters high. This resulted in a significant boost to inbound and outbound efficiency, achieving 99.99% picking accuracy and supporting the ambitious production goal of 70 cars per hour.
