CDW Corporation, a Fortune 500 technology solutions provider, faced operational constraints in its UK logistics center. The challenges included high labor demands, limited space utilization, and restricted scalability within a tightly constrained warehouse footprint. To address this, CDW partnered with Hai Robotics and systems integrator Milestone Projects to implement a customized HaiPick automated storage and retrieval system.

The solution from Hai Robotics was a 12-meter-high HaiPick system, one of the tallest tote-handling setups in its portfolio. The system included 11 autonomous case-handling robots deployed in a 600 sqm area, creating 16,000 storage locations. This implementation allowed CDW to store up to 64,000 items and achieve a throughput of 300 totes per hour, significantly increasing storage density and order picking accuracy to over 99% while freeing up labor for value-added tasks.
