GyanMatrix Technologies, a fast‑growing Bangalore startup specializing in enterprise mobile and web analytics, needed to hire an experienced data‑science team quickly to work on News UK projects but struggled to find senior talent after four months of traditional headhunting. To solve this, GyanMatrix Technologies turned to HackerEarth and its Sprint platform to run targeted data‑science challenges and hackathons.
HackerEarth implemented a Sprint‑powered talent campaign — the D3 global hackathon, a whitepaper challenge, and a programming challenge — that generated strong engagement (D3 global: 1,122 registrations, 562 teams, 50 submissions; whitepaper: 165 registrations, 41 teams, 41 submissions; programming: 54 registrations, 34 teams, 54 submissions) and automated much of the screening process. The HackerEarth approach enabled rapid identification of candidates with the required technical curiosity and skills, accelerating GyanMatrix Technologies’ hiring and delivering measurable, high‑quality talent outcomes compared with their prior manual process.
