A HackerEarth Case Study

Preview of the Fundación Ciudadano Inteligente Case Study

Hiring Python developers for an NGO in Latin America

Fundación Ciudadano Inteligente (FCI), a Chilean NGO that strengthens democracy and reduces inequality across Latin America, needed to scale its IT team and hire two Python developers but struggled to find candidates who combined cultural fit with the required technical skills using recruiting agencies, job boards and word-of-mouth. FCI engaged HackerEarth and its HackerEarth Recruit platform to improve candidate screening and run a focused hiring campaign.

Using HackerEarth Recruit, FCI built a custom coding challenge, ran a one‑month social media and mailing push, and owned the shortlisting process with support from HackerEarth. The campaign produced 15 high‑quality shortlisted applicants, led to two offers made without external agencies, and enabled FCI’s IT team to be directly involved in hiring — all within one month.
