A Habu Case Study
Altspace, a coworking operator in Altrincham, needed to scale its original hot‑desking model into a larger, social and inclusive 3,000 sq ft workspace without losing the close-knit vibe that combats freelancer isolation. To support that shift, Altspace engaged Habu to provide community and space‑management support alongside its design-led approach, helping translate wellness goals into member-facing services and booking workflows.
Habu worked with Altspace to operationalize communal touchpoints — from AV‑bookable meeting rooms and a centrally located kitchen to programmed social events (yoga, talks and a Google Digital Garage session) and circulation that encourages casual encounters. The combined solution enabled Altspace’s expansion to a 3,000 sq ft site with private offices for teams up to six while preserving openness and daily interaction; results include increased member engagement, a steady events programme and anecdotal improvements in member wellbeing and reduced isolation. Habu’s platform and services helped turn design intent into measurable space growth and a repeatable community model.
