New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) needed a better way to manage training and compliance for 3,000 employees across six statewide districts. Using Gyrus Systems’ LMS, GyrusAim, they sought to replace their older client/server training platform with a more easily distributed, centrally managed solution that could support strict safety requirements and limited internal resources.

Gyrus Systems implemented GyrusAim as a web-based, vendor-hosted LMS that made training information accessible anywhere in the state and gave executives, regional managers, training staff, and individual employees role-based views of their training status. The result was easier deployment and maintenance, better visibility into compliance and readiness, and improved ability to keep employees up to date on required safety training, though no specific quantitative metrics were provided.
