Molex, a global supplier of interconnect solutions, sought to enhance its new product development processes. They faced the common challenge of PLM project implementation, where such initiatives often fail to meet objectives, run over budget, or are delivered late. To address this, Molex partnered with vendor GyanSys to deploy a comprehensive SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) solution.

GyanSys implemented a phased, roadmap-driven approach for Molex, breaking the large program into manageable deployments including an EHP7 upgrade, document management, engineering change control, and portfolio management. This solution enabled process harmonization and provided a single data repository. Key outcomes included improved project cost tracking and the successful retirement of legacy systems without running parallel operations. GyanSys's methodology and expertise were crucial in helping Molex navigate the complexities of the PLM implementation to achieve their goals.
