WPG Publishers, a multimedia group in the Netherlands and Belgium that includes Voetbal International, needed to deliver team‑relevant content and ads in real time to avoid alienating passionate soccer fans. To identify visitors and serve the right messages, WPG engaged GX Software and deployed a customer data platform (BlueConic) to collect cross‑channel behavior and build individual visitor profiles.
GX Software’s implementation aggregated web, social and mobile interactions into persistent profiles and ran a predictive algorithm to infer team preference (predicting Ajax fans with >90% accuracy), enabling real‑time personalized content and advertising. The result was nearly doubled click‑through rates on targeted ads, better site experiences for anonymous and known visitors, a stronger negotiating position with media agencies, and increased ability to sell premium ad inventory — all attributed to GX Software’s platform.
