Suja, an organic, non-GMO cold-pressed beverage company that grew from 300 to 14,000 stores in four years, faced a crowded category where consumers struggled to choose on shelf. With a small marketing team and tight timelines, they needed to validate a packaging redesign for their top-selling line that would reduce shelf decision time and appeal to multiple consumer segments without risking sales.
Partnering with GutCheck, Suja ran a two‑phase agile study — qualitative instant research (N=30) to refine concepts and a quantitative Agile Screen (N=200) to compare executions — each delivering results in about five days. The new design tested nearly two-to-one better than the current label, earning feedback to simplify visuals, emphasize organic and ingredient transparency, and highlight trusted certifications; the team launched the redesigned packaging in time for peak season with confidence it would boost purchases.
