Case Study: The Glass Jug Beer Lab elevates its brand identity with Gusto Design Co.

A Gusto Design Co. Case Study

The Glass Jug Beer Lab expands to 2 taprooms with Gusto Design Co.

The Glass Jug Beer Lab, a bottle shop and microbrewery in Durham, NC, faced the challenge of updating its brand identity as it transitioned into a full-scale brewing operation. Previously known as The Glass Jug, the company needed a new name, logo, and label system that reflected its scientific, experimental approach to craft beer while paying homage to the local Research Triangle Park. They enlisted the creative services of vendor Gusto Design Co. to achieve this rebrand.

Gusto Design Co. developed a new brand identity inspired by laboratory signage, creating a distinctive logo and a unique label system featuring a signature diagonal "label turn." This flexible design allowed for individual beer labels to have personality while maintaining a cohesive brand look. Following the rebrand, The Glass Jug Beer Lab successfully expanded, moving to a larger location and opening a second taproom, solidifying its position as a popular, family-friendly destination for beer enthusiasts in the area.
