Leading Ice Cream Manufacturer Company in Sri Lanka struggled with transporting highly perishable ice cream in a tropical climate where container temperatures could reach about 35°C and drivers sometimes turned off refrigerators to save fuel, causing product melt and heavy losses. To address this, the company adopted Gurtam’s Wialon tracking system to monitor and protect shipments.

Kloudip implemented Gurtam’s Wialon together with Queclink GPS/temperature hardware and Sensolator for visual monitoring and instant alerts; GPS tracked routes and location, Queclink sensors monitored container temperatures, and Sensolator notified operators of temperature rises. Gurtam’s Wialon now controls more than 50 reefer containers, delivering measurable results: a 60% cost reduction from avoiding returned melted ice cream and over 35% savings on labor and transport costs, increasing revenue and reducing waste.
