Case Study: SASCO ANIVA achieves precise remote fuel monitoring and fuel-cost savings with Gurtam

Telematics control of ship fueling in the Far East of Russia

SASCO ANIVA, a container ship in the Sakhalin Shipping Company fleet carrying over 240 tons of mazut, previously relied on an old counter and a measuring stick that could not deliver the required accuracy. The ship needed precise fueling parameters to avoid disputes and prevent overpayments; Gurtam supplied the Wialon Hosting solution to enable reliable remote fuel monitoring.

Using Gurtam’s Wialon Hosting, integrator Spec Centr Orbita fitted an Endress Hauser F 300 flow meter (measuring mazut temperature, density and weight), a Galileosky 7x terminal to transmit data to Wialon, and an OVEN panel on the captain’s bridge, with workshop-welded pipe fittings to meet on-board restrictions. The Wialon-based system provides accurate fuel volume and quality readings (visible on the meter, in Wialon and at the bridge), eliminates measurement disputes, prevents overpayments and paid for itself after the fourth fueling.
