The Kyiv Regional State Administration needed better control of the transportation system in Kyiv and the surrounding region and wanted passengers to have efficient, real-time access to schedules and route information. Gurtam’s products — NimBus and Wialon Local — were used (through Wialon partner OVERSEER and integrator Surbis LLC) to provide monitoring and public-facing scheduling services.

Gurtam’s NimBus-based solution powers the KyivBus mobile app, using the NimBus API and Wialon Local so administration staff and carriers can manage buses, stops, schedules and routes while passengers see live vehicle locations and ETAs on their smartphones. The deployment reduced passenger wait uncertainty, improved collaboration between the Kyiv Regional State Administration and carriers via a single system, enabled route-compliance monitoring, and raised overall transport service quality.
