Holcim in Azerbaijan faced a rising number of truck accidents caused by driver fatigue while delivering cement to remote regions and needed to monitor the work-rest schedules of 169 drivers. They selected a telematics solution based on Gurtam’s Wialon platform, implemented locally by partner A+A Security, to accurately track driver hours and reduce fatigue-related incidents.

A+A Security fitted vehicles with Ruptela FM Eco4 trackers using iButton driver identification and developed a Wialon-based web application (via the Wialon SDK) to record start/end times, flag violations, and rank drivers. Using Gurtam’s Wialon, Holcim automated work-rest recording and analysis, minimized accident risk and related costs, and shortened dispatcher reporting time with daily and weekly emailed violation reports.
