Cellamerica, a Wialon partner in Mexico, tackled a national concrete masonry producer’s safety and damage problem: crane operators were leaving cranes open when moving vehicles, causing collisions, downed power lines and costly repairs. To address this, Cellamerica deployed telematics around Gurtam’s Wialon Hosting platform.

Using Gurtam’s Wialon, Cellamerica integrated GPS trackers, BCE IoT devices, magnetic wheel sensors and encapsulated crane-position sensors so the system could detect movement with the crane open, send instant alerts and remotely cut engines on violations. The Gurtam-powered solution stopped crane-usage violations, gave supervisors live notifications and usage reports, improved site safety and prevented repair and liability expenses.
