McAfee turned to Gummicube to help grow visibility and conversions for its Safe Connect VPN app in a highly competitive security and VPN market. Although Safe Connect was already targeting core keywords like “VPN” and “hot spot,” it needed stronger organic discoverability and better App Store performance.

Gummicube used ASO research and its DATACUBE platform to identify new keyword opportunities, optimize metadata, refresh screenshots, and run A/B tests to improve conversion, while also managing Apple Search Ads and Google Ads. The work drove a 74.1% increase in keyword visibility, 284.4% growth in organic search impressions, 118.8% growth in organic app units, and a 13.6% conversion lift, with paid efforts also outperforming projections for revenue and installs.
