IMVU, the world’s largest avatar-based social networking app, partnered with Gummicube to strengthen its App Store Optimization (ASO) strategy. Despite its large audience, IMVU faced competition from rival apps ranking for valuable keywords and needed to better identify its strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to reach new users and improve install growth.

Gummicube optimized IMVU’s metadata, keywords, creatives, and search ads, then ran multiple rounds of A/B testing on icons and screenshots to improve conversion. The work delivered strong measurable gains: #1 keyword rankings on Google Play grew 33%, top iOS keyword rankings increased 22% with 58% growth in the top 5, and daily installs rose 45% on Google Play and 105% on Apple devices.
