A Guild Case Study
The Independent Print Industries Association (IPIA), a not-for-profit membership organisation at the heart of the UK print industry, needed a better way to connect buyers and suppliers while also improving internal communication among its dispersed leadership team. It wanted to replace unwieldy email chains and avoid using WhatsApp for professional collaboration, especially as demand for industry support grew during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Guild provided The Sourcing Bridge, a private community space for IPIA members, buyers, and print suppliers, alongside a secure internal messaging tool for the leadership team. With Guild, IPIA streamlined communication, reduced administrative pressure, and helped members self-organise and form new business relationships organically; the community quickly became active, though no specific numerical metrics were reported.
